Your health records available to millions?
Dr. Deborah Peel told WND most patients don't know that their highly sensitive information is being shared with thousands of law-enforcement agencies, insurance brokers, life and health insurance companies, credit bureaus, transcription vendors, disease registries, employers and banks every day – and the data can be used to discriminate against Americans.

NM LLCs In Canada
Can I use a New Mexico LLC to title a vehicle or real estate in Ontario as outlined in your book?
...
I doubt it but if any of you Canadians HAVE had success with this, I would like to hear from you!

Showing Receipt for NM LLC when registering car
Hi JJ,
Do you usually have to show receipt for an LLC when registering a car in the name of an LLC? Im curious, bc as far as i can tell, the only thing that shows you own the LLC is the receipt, correct?
A receipt could be similar to a purchase contract and if in a legal bind, proves you own this LLC in a non public way...
How does it go for you usually? I've got HTBI book but, i didn't notice you saying that you had to show receipt for showing ownership or tie to the LLC.
And from a corporation/LLC perspective, i see nothing wrong with selling the company and whoever owns the LLC owns whatever the LLC owns.... Its done in business frequently.
...
I have never, ever, been asked for documents OR a receipt when titling a car. (I pay cash to a private party who has a clear title. I then present it at a licensing bureau and pay the tax. Noever a problem.)However, in the past two years I've been asked for proof of ownerhip at title companies, since real estate is a more regulated field. And although I've squeezed by without a receipt so far, in the future I plan to show one.

AZ DMV Experience
Hi JJ,
I thought i would give you and your readers info on how my experience went registering my car in phoenix in the name of a NM LLC...
I went to the DMV with my articles of organization, showed the guy my receipt from Rosie and first off, he gave me a hard time (i really wanted to get a female, but my luck came to a guy).... He wanted my Drivers License, i gave him my california license.
He huffed and puffed, checked with his supervisor about how i am tied to the LLC. He kept stating that the receipt wasn't enough, i told him i purchased a company and now this company owns a car; what else are you looking for? He couldn't answer, his supervisor said it was fine, he was adamant it wasn't. His manager finally said that it was fine, he asked me to sign the registration paperwork, i signed it as "member", he said "i thought you said you were the owner, member is an employee"..... I said no, a member for an LLC is an owner. He didn't believe me, he photocopied my DL and said that he would send the file to the Office of Inspector General (OIG), i said go ahead...
But, i got title to the car in the name of my LLC and my name doesn't show up on the title or registration as far as i'm aware ...
I'm not sure how/if my name will be in the DMV system since i gave him my license and he photocopied it... I asked him why he needed my license he said bc he didn't know who i was and needed to verify my identity...
The guy was a real pain, but i think i got it done.
Do you think i will be listed in the system somehow? Im not sure where my info would go since the title and registration are in the name of a business...
Thoughts?
...
As long as the registration contains ONLY the LLC name, I wouldn't worry about it. But next time, go to a faraway DMV office and (since you are a male) get in line only for a female clerk. Sign as "owner." I used to sign as "member" but since clerks do not understand LLCs, I now think "owner" is better. Same if a cop stops you. If he or she asks if you are an employee, say no, you are the owner.

Offshore Hosting (6489 - betty)
Just FYI, when you setup registration information for your domain with false information, you are in violation of the ICANN rules and your domain could be suspended.
Additionally, should you need to move the domain or update it, if you supplied all false information then you have no way to confirm that you in fact own the domain via the alternative methods different registrars use (fax, duns, etc).
...
(Note to Betty: If you need a true address overseas, you might check with Rosie Enriquez.)

Kids like to chat, text etc.
My Space & Facebook will show friends of friends that could be a place where your stalker could connect the dots should your kids visit these places and have others that know of your plans.

6490 Tiki's Stalker Trouble
Your son needs to be charged with some crime. Trespassing, stalking, drugs, slander, etc. The more the better. Let the law deal with him.
Then you should try and get a restraining order ASAP(RO) for the whole family and the whole family will need to have it enforced. Should you allow him back on your property and do not call the police to have the RO enforced it is no longer is enforceable.
Privacy with children may be hard if the other brothers make any contact with him.
THIS COULD ESCALATE VERY FAST!
In the short term get a used motor home titled in a LLC and never park it where you work or live.
If you feel he is snooping in your yard or around your car, new video surveillance cameras can detect motion through the camera’s image. Some have UV led’s which allow them to see in the dark but a better choice would be a low lux camera where no UV light source is required.
You these can peak through a window inside the car or house. These would only record when motion was detected by the image. Older style motion cameras needed to be outside of the glass. Also the UV led type may reflect the glass back to the camera which could over expose the image you are trying to record. this is where the lower lux cameras would work much better.
Should you be worried about someone coming inside your home visit this link. This stuff works!
Good luck.

Any suggestions?
After a meeting with a lawyer yesterday; I believe I have identified my stalker-my 19 yr old son! He has bragged to friends about a revenge list of those who have done him wrong. He has blamed me for ruining his life when I moved our family from California to our new place five years ago. He has made this known to a few folks who have finally came forward to let me know. He is not living at home now.
I have dealt with someone prowling around outside my house all hours of the night. He has reported me to various authorities for an assortment of alligations/crimes. I have had to spend thousands of dollars on attorneys fighting false allegations. He once reported that his brothers were selling drugs and guns from the house. He has also reported we were living in an unsanitary and uninhabitable home that should be condemned. We've gotten through these ordeals, but has been very stressful and disruptive to family life. He has told people that I abused him as a child, he was raising his brothers, and had to work at fast food places to pay household bills (all of which isn't true). Telling all these lies has everyone feeling sorry for him. He even blamed me for his getting involved in selling drugs and getting caught. He was living on his own at the time and had no contact with me.
I am looking at places to move, leaving no forwarding address. I am also getting things out of my name. So that he would not be able to locate me once I move. Until I am able to get a new place; do you have any suggestions to protect my family from his lies? He currently lives a few minutes from my home and I do not intend on letting him back on my property to see/hear anything that may give him any ideas for new allegations. My lawyer didn't have any suggestions; but he doesn't value privacy as much as we do. Thank you for any suggestions anyone may offer.

Mail box & offshore hosting
Mark Eagle, Idaho - I think was asking about offshore hosting. I have used panamahosting.com for several years and have had no problems. I paid them via western union and falsified all information like address, name and phone number(s)- that info was used to list the owner of the website which can be looked up using whois. I must mention that I was running a legal business but wanted another layer of privacy that offshore adds and did not want the site to be subjected to any frivolous lawsuits.
I saw this 2 years ago on this site about getting another mail address. I setup a mail box in a busy industrial area that had a row of mailboxes. Doing this as an experiment, I wanted to see if it raised any attention from postal people. 2 years later it is still there. I use it every once and a while. I do not think I have to mention this but I will anyway that I use it for legal and legitimate purposes. Hope this helps.

just wanted to thank you
I picked up HTBI a few years back and was pretty captivated by what you were teaching. I implemented a lot of it and reached a pretty decent level of invisibility.
Then, I had a crazy turn of circumstances after returning from an international school in Europe. Some members of a notorious criminal organization were convinced I stole from them and had fled the country only to come home after a few months.
My only connection with these people is I knew one of their girlfriend's from high school and had spent some time with her before she ventured over to the wrong side of the tracks.
Three of them attacked me in a bar and I bloodied up one of them pretty good, only to find out later he was the head of the gang for my region (I don't think they expected me to fight back). After that, they were threatening to kill me if I didn't pay them money--an amount which I didn't have and was in no way about to pay anyways. I didn't trust police to protect me from these people.
In one of their texts, they sent me what was supposed to be my address as a scare tactic and it was some random address I had made up at some point.
I know you insist leaving the country isn't necessary in these cases, but in my own case, as an international business student, I always wanted to travel the world anyhow, so I decided to use it as a chance to go live my dreams.
And that's what I've been doing for the past year. My brother dropped me off in a city seven hours from home, and your book was one of the only belongings I took when I handed my cell phone to him and walked off into the world. I knew no one could follow.
I started a business from my computer, and now have a small handful of employees. That's what reminded me of you again. I discovered an employee cheating me and had to let him go.
In this country, putting a hit on someone is pretty cheap, and he proceeded to make threats, though I had remained as polite as possible about the situation. Here we go again...
I knew it was a bluff, but I also felt secure knowing the address he was waving in my face was nonexistent. So once again, your teachings had made me feel safe and secure.
I'd love to see you produce some literature more geared in the international direction at some point, but I know it is a complicated frontier (and unecessary for most). I do realize a lot of the same stuff applies, but I'd love a point in the right direction if you know of any reliable sources.
I want to remind everyone out there that crazy things do happen to normal people. It doesn't hurt to practice a little caution in this world; I know I always will.
I don't live in fear; rather, I feel liberated by the knowledge, skills, and minset I have accumulated to handle anything that happens to me.
Thank you for that!

Legal name change considerations
How not advisable is it to get a legal name change done? I would like to change both my entire name, as I don't care for it. How bad is it to do it in a state/county that requires fingerprints and a background check? How invasive is the background check, just criminal stuff or like your entire life history? It looks like the form requires hardly any information (petition for a name change) so I assume that the courthouse just does it based on your name?
...
The requirements probably vary by state. Check with an attorney.

Frequent Flier Mile accounts /# 6484
RE# 6484.
JJ You have suggested in HTBI that readers drop all of their Frequent Flier mile accounts entirely ...[etc etc]
...
You failed to include an e-mail address so I cannot answer personally. I do not recall ever saying anyone should drop their FF miles. What page in HTBI do you refer to?

Southwest Airlines
This was an official email from Southwest. It was not a phishing scam. The email contained my frequent flier number along with other indicators that this email was in fact from Southwest. The real issue at hand is whether or not this "requirement" is truly a requirement. Please see below for the link from the Southwest website.
As of today's date, I don't have emails from any other airline requesting said information. Maybe there are some frequent fliers out there who can contribute to this conversation as well.

Posts 6478 and 6476, Internet Marketer Goes Private
I have purchased from this internet marketer and his partner Ryan Deiss in the past. Good thing I used a prepaid debit card for my purchase because I can stop them from billing the prepaid debit card used despite following their instructions for canceling the force continuity subscription per their instructions and later sending at least a dozen letters to their support department. I just checked the balance for the prepaid debit card I used (no money left on the card) and they are still trying to put through monthly charges. I did not complain but I sure someone complained to the FTC. Or, someone made real threats on his and his family safety as he claimed in other posts.

Southwest Airlines
I just received the following email from Southwest Airlines. (I have only flown them one time)
Action Required: TSA Changes Require You To Update Your Account
Dear ------:
Southwest Airlines has been working in cooperation with the TSA to introduce Secure Flight, a federally mandated program designed to help enhance the security of domestic and international commercial air travel through the use of improved watch list* matching .
Southwest Airlines is therefore required to collect additional Secure Flight Passenger Data, which includes:
Your full name, exactly as it appears on the current (non-expired) government-issued photo ID that you will be traveling with
Date of birth
Gender The TSA-issued Redress Number** (if applicable)
Update your MySouthwest Account Now
All Southwest Airline Customers are able to update their account information once so that it is compliant with TSA requirements. It is recommended that you do so before your next flight to minimize your chances of being delayed or held in TSA security check-points.
If you have reservations for future travel, and booked without full name, birth date, and gender, there is no need to add this additional information prior to your upcoming trip.
=================
I thought you might find this email interesting. After reading your books (How to Be Invisible and Invisible Money) I'm not quite sure how I feel about this "requirement". It appears rather intrusive; however, I suppose it's supposed to help with air travel security.
...
There is no longer any way to legally travel without the goverment knowing who you are. However, as long as you use your passport for ID, they still don't have to know what state you live in, much less your home address or true telephone number. (You can get a free phone number from K7.net.)
If you send any future posts, please add the HTML code for paragraphs. As shown in the instructions it is < p > (without the spaces). You can also use < br > for line breaks.
